April 14 (SeeNews) - Six political parties, led by the ruling Serbian progressive party (SNS), are set to clear the 5% parliament entry barrier, a poll ahead of the April 24 snap vote showed.
If the election was to be held on Sunday, SNS, led by prime-minister Aleksandar Vucic, would attract 50.9% of the votes, followed by the coalition of Serbian socialists (SPS), led by former PM Ivica Dacic, and Jedinstvena Srbija (JS) of local businessman Dragan Markovic-Palma, with 12.3% support, a survey conducted by Factor Plus marketing research agency and quoted by Belgrade-based Blic daily showed on Tuesday.
Serbian radical party (SRS) of the far-right nationalist Vojislav Seselj is set to gain 7.8% of the votes, the Democratic Party (DS), headed by the Vojvodina province leader Bojan Pajtic, is the first choice of 5.7% of the voters, while the pro-Russian coalition of DSS (Democratic Party of Serbia) and Dveri can count on 5.1%.
The last political power with a potential to reach and overcome the 5% threshold is the coalition, gravitating around the Social Democratic Party, led by former president Boris Tadic.
