July 25 (SeeNews) - Serbian retailer Gomex has signed a deal with the municipality of the northern town of Zrenjanin for the use of a 4,800 square metre land plot for the construction of a distribution centre, the municipal authorities said on Thursday.
The estimated value of the investment in the new distribution centre is between 700,000 euro ($922,000) and 1.0 million euro, depending on the equipment that will be installed, the municipality said in a statement issued after the signing ceremony.
Construction works should begin in September. The facility should be operational by the end of 2013.
The distribution centre will be located in the Jugoistok industrial zone which is located close to the regional Zrenjanin-Belgrade state road. There are as many as 13 investors already based in Jugoistok.
