* Thursday, September 17 – Brussels (Belgium): Serbia’s Minister for EU Integration Bozidar Djelic signs an agreement with the EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn regarding a 100 million euro aid, part of a 1.0 billion euro pre-accession support package. Djelic will also meet with the EU Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs Joaquin Almunia and Pierre Mirel, the commission’s director for the Western Balkans.
* Thursday, September 17 – Pancevo: Serbia’s largest petrochemicals producer HIP Petrohemija restarts production after it halted it on July 1 aiming to agree better terms with its suppliers. Economy Minister Mladjan Dinkic, Energy Minister Petar Skundric and the CEO of Serbia’s oil monopoly NIS, Kiril Kravchenko, to attend.
