March 23 (SeeNews) - Serbia confirmed the second death of the novel coronavirus disease, while the total number of infected people rose to 222 as of Sunday evening, the country's health ministry said.
The second victim of the coronavirus in Serbia is a 92-year-old woman, the health ministry said in a statement.
The country reported a total of 36 new cases of the coronavirus disease on Saturday and 51 were reported on Sunday, the health ministry said.
Prime minister Ana Brnabic confirmed late on Friday the first death of the novel coronavirus disease, a 59-year-old man from Kikinda.
Health minister Zlatibor Loncar announced on March 6 the first case of the coronavirus infection in the country.
