September 30 (SeeNews) - Following are some of the main stories in the online versions of Serbian media on Friday morning. SeeNews has not verified these reports and cannot vouch for their accuracy.
- German motor car cable producer Leoni will launch the operation of its new car cable producing unit in the Serbian town of Prokuplje on October 19, Director General Peter Prohaska said. The company said in April it planned to invest $15 million in its Serbian unit over three years.
- Serbian drug maker Jugoremedija, located in the northern town of Zrenjanin, will resume production on October 2 following a 12-month halt, Vice President Zdravko Deuric said. The company borrowed 10 million euro from commercial banks to increase its output and build new production units.
- Serbia’s old '.yu' Internet domains will be shut down at midnight on Wednesday, erasing 4,000 sites, Serbian National Register of Internet Domain Names (RNIDS) said. The migration from '.yu' Internet domains to the new '.rs' domains was completed in May, RNIDS said. There are about 50,000 registered '.rs' domains at the moment.
- An Airbus delegation has arrived in Belgrade, aiming to reach an agreement on a $23.5 million upfront payment for eight aircraft made in 1998.
