May 30 (SeeNews) - Serbia's state-owned road operator Putevi Srbije has said it is inviting bids for the development of a project design and a feasibility study for the construction of a bridge on the Danube river in Backa Palanka.
The bidding deadline is June 22 and the price will be the most important criterion in the ranking of the bids, Putevi Srbije said in a tender notice.
The estimated value of the public procurement is up to 30 million dinars ($294,725/253,745 euro) without value added tax (VAT).
The bridge in northern Serbia will be part of state road IB, linking Backa Palanka to Nestin, Erdevik, Kuzmin and the Sremska Raca crossing at the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, Putevi Srbije said.
The total length of the bridge and its access roads will be approximately 3,500 metres, while the bridge itself will be about 1,975 metres in length.
