September 5 (SeeNews) - Romanian energy provider Restart Energy said on Monday that it has signed a 120,000 euro ($119,100) contract with local paving slabs producer Elis Pavaje for the installation of a photovoltaic system with capacity of 144kWp.
Restart Energy will install 320 solar panels over a 1,450 sq m area on the rooftop of Elis Pavaje's plant in Petresti, Alba county, it said in a press release.

The solar energy project will cover about 10% of the company’s electricity needs and will help reduce its carbon footprint by 48 tonnes a year, as well as cut radioactive waste by 0.5 kg per year.
"Our own green energy production allows us to have a more sustainable and cost-efficient operational activity. The photovoltaic panels installed on our Petresti unit represent an investment of 120,000 euro that will pay for itself in about one year," Elis Pavaje general manager Emil Gota said.
In February, Restart Energy signed another 600,000 euro deal with Elis Pavaje for the installation of 855 solar panels with a combined power of 834.5 kWp in three locations.
"Photovoltaic systems are an effective solution to reduce energy costs over a long period with minimal maintenance costs. In the coming period, Restart Energy will focus on sustainable active electricity generation using solar energy," Restart Energy general manager Armand Domuta said.
Established in 2015, Restart Energy is part of Armand Group controlled by Domuta.
Restart Energy posted a turnover of approximately 180 million lei ($37.1 million/37.3 million euro) in 2021. The management said in January it targets a turnover of 300 million lei and a net profit of 50 million lei for 2022.
