March 21 (SeeNews) - Romanian fan-powered football talent discovery platform Nordensa said it has secured 1.65 million euro ($1.8 million) in its latest seed round.
The funds will help the company's expansion plans and bolster its product development efforts, Nordensa said in a press release on Wednesday.
Some of the key investors in the round included AFC Bournemouth player Emiliano Marcondes, former Denmark international Lasse Vibe, and Mads Davidsen, the Group Head of Football at the Right to Dream Academy.
Nordensa allows fans to invest in promising players' trial contracts, providing them with a stake in potential earnings.
Currently valued at 15 million euro, the company is seeking additional funding through a bridge round and plans a Series A round later this year, opening 20% to new investors.
Established in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, Nordensa has partnerships with clubs such as Standard de Liege, Real Zaragoza, Kawasaki Frontale, and academies worldwide.
