November 7 (SeeNews) - Romanian cleaning products company Misavan said it has invested 500,000 euro ($489,553) to expand its truck fleet with five more 23-tonnes units.
The new trucks will transport the company's products between the production facility and its 12 warehouses across the country, Misavan said in a press release on Friday.
The acquisition aims to improve the company's logistics operations and delivery time.
Following the transaction, Misavan's fleet will count six 23-tonnes trucks, two 15-tonnes trucks, 51 vans and 155 cars.
In 2022, Misavan's investments totaled 8 million euro, most of which were directed towards the company's logistics warehouse.
"We have been thinking about expanding our fleet for a long time, and with our new logistics warehouse we also identified the opportunity to purchase new trucks. Depending on the results we obtain, we will continue to expand the fleet, if necessary" Misavan general director Ciprian Otea said.
In January, Misavan announced it had invested 7 million euro in its 5,000 sq m logistics warehouse in Miroslava, Iasi county.
Founded in 2000 in Iasi, Misavan booked a net profit of 6.2 million lei ($1.2 million/1.3 million euro) in 2021 and employed 282, data from the finance ministry's website showed.
