November 6 (SeeNews) - Romania's energy output through September fell by an annual 2.2% to 17.660 million tonnes of oil equivalent (TOE), the National Statistics Institute (INS) said on Tuesday.
Energy imports fell by an annual 2.9% in the period to 12.587 million TOE, INS said in a statement.
A TOE is the rounded-off amount of energy that would be produced by burning one metric tonne of crude oil.

Electricity generated in Romania and imports totalled 45.01 billion KWh in the period, down by 3.2% on the year, as domestic power production fell by 3.8%.
Exports of electricity in the first nine months of 2007 fell by 41.2% year-on-year, or by a net 1.62 billion KWh.
