April 20 (SeeNews) - Romanian retailer EvoMAG expects a 20% increase in sales of home, decoration and do-it-yourself products this year as it doubles to 20,000 its product range in these categories, the company said on Wednesday.
EvoMAG did not specify whether the projection refers to its sales volume or sales value, nor did it provide comparative figures.
EvoMAG registered an increase of over 10% in sales across all categories this spring, it said in a statement. The best selling products pertain to outdoor activity categories, such as gardening, DIY tools, welding equipment, as well as lighting.
The company noted that broadening its range of products across all categories is one of its strategic goals for 2022. Last month it added 30,000 new products to its offer and expects to list a further 45,000 new products by the end of June.
Earlier this year, the retailer announced its partnership with courier service Bringo to provide 60-90 minute deliveries.
Founded in 2005, evoMAG had a turnover of 158 million lei ($35.3 million/31.9 million euro) in 2020, according to finance ministry data. Originally an IT&C store, EvoMAG has diversified its portfolio of products with DIY equipment and electric vehicles.
