November 28 (SeeNews) - The Romanian unit of German energy company E.ON said on Monday that it has partnered with 60 companies to build 68 solar plants worth a total 11 million euro ($11.45 million) this year.
The combined annual output of the solar plants is 1,400 MWh, E.ON Romania said in a press release.

They comprise more than 34,000 individual solar panels with a surface area of 57,000 sq m and will reduce CO2 emissions by a total 300 tonnes per year.
The plants thave a lifespan of 25 years, as investors will recover their investments in four to seven years.
"The 150-plus PV projects we have completed generate around 36 GWh of renewable energy annually and contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by almost 8,000 tonnes per year," Claudia Griech, E.ON Energie Romania general director, said.
