March 27 (SeeNews) - Romanian power supplier and distributor Electrica [BSE:EL] said that it completed the acquisition of Sunwind Energy project company, which develops a 27.055 MW solar project in the country's northwest, from businessmen Emanuel Muntmark and Catalin Mrejeru
The company bought 100% of Sunwind Energy, Electrica said in a filing with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Friday.

The transaction is in line with Electrica Group's strategy for the 2019-2023 period, which sees the expansion in the value chain of electricity, especially from renewable sources.
The Satu Mare 2 project is located in the locality of Botiz, in the county of Satu Mare. It is in the ready-to-build phase, the statement further showed.
Electrica Group will continue to pursue the expansion of its portfolio in the field of electricity production from renewable sources, Electrica CEO Alexandru Chirita said.
In February, the company bought the Green Energy Consultancy & Investments project company, which operates a 12 MWp photovoltaic (PV) project in the south-eastern county of Vrancea.
Blue-chip Electrica's shares traded 0.58% higher at 8.67 lei ($1.88/1.75 euro) as of 1355 CET on Monday, bourse data showed.
