April 8 (SeeNews) - Romanian natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] said that its board of directors decided to extend the mandate of CEO Aristotel Marius Jude by four months starting April 13.
Jude was appointed as CEO on February 12, with a two-month temporary mandate, Romgaz said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Wednesday.
Romgaz board of directors also decided to appoint Razvan Popescu as chief financial officer (CFO) for a four-month period, starting April 14.
Shares in blue-chip company Romgaz traded 0.60% higher at 33.5 lei ($8.1/ 6.8 euro) by 0940 CET on Thursday on the BVB.
Romgaz is the largest natural gas producer in Romania and one of the largest in Eastern Europe, responsible for producing around 40% of the natural gas used in Romania. It is 70% owned by the Romanian state, with the balance of 30% in free float on the BVB.
