May 22 (SeeNews) - Romanian software company Zitec said on Monday it has opened an office in the central city of Brasov, where it plans to hire 20 by the end of this year.
The office in Brasov is Zitec's first outside capital Bucharest, the company said in a press release.

Zitec plans to officially inaugurate the office in the summer and is looking to hire PHP software engineers, Magento developers, front end engineers, software testers, quality assurance engineers and project managers.
The company currently employs 130 in Bucharest.
In February, Romanian online retailer eMag invested 1.7 million euro ($1.8 million) in Zitec, acquiring a minority stake in the company.
Zitec said at the time it will use the capital infusion to increase its headcount, to expand into other cities in Romania and to create a department dedicated to European funds and grants. Also, the company aims to grow its client portfolio in Western Europe and USA.
In September 2016, Zitec acquired local web-design and digital services company Inotec for an undisclosed sum.
Zitec was founded in 2003 and posted a net profit surged of 4 million euro in 2016, more than double compared to 2015, according to data posted on finance ministry website.
Some 40% of Zitec's revenues come from projects developed for foreign clients, mainly from the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and the Netherlands.
