December 12 (SeeNews) - Romanian state-owned hydropower generator Hidroelectrica will offer for sale 16 micro-hydro plants at a combined starting price of 20.4 million lei ($8.5 million/5.8 million euro), excluding value-added tax, it said on Wednesday.
The open bidding tenders will take place between February 25 and February 29 and the micro-hydro plants will be grouped in several packages, Hidroelectrica said in a statement.

Hidroelectrica, set up in 2000, operates 326 power plants and power pumping installations. It generates annually some 19,772 gigawatt hours of energy, or between 22% and 33% of Romania’s power output.
