February 9 (SeeNews) - Agroserv Mariuta [BSE:MILK], a Romanian dairy products maker which owns the Laptaria cu Caimac brand, said that it opened a new production unit using funds from a 2020 bond issue.
The new unit will produce cheese and butter, Agriserv Mariuta said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB, on Tuesday.
The cheese production line, which has already been made operational, will be able to produce soft paste, hard paste, creamy fresh cheese, noble mold cheese and pressed cheese.
The butter production line is partially assembled and tested and will be functionable within the next few weeks.
The total capacity of the new section is 16,500 liters per day of fresh milk for cheese and 40,500 liters per day of fresh milk for butter. In the cheese category, the capacity of the finished product is 2 tonnes per day and for butter, the capacity is 1.6 tonnes per day.
Agroserv Mariuta raised 3 million euro ($3.43 million) through a private placement in November 2020.
In December 2021, the company inaugurated a new cold storage facility, with funds obtained from the corporate bonds issue.
Agroserv Mariuta was established in 1994 and until 2018 was only active in agricultural activities, and had a dairy farm. In 2018, the company established a dairy factory, in which it invested over 5 million euro, and launched the Laptaria cu Caimac brand, under which it produces and sells milk packaged in glass, matured cheeses, sour cream, yogurt.
Agroserv Mariuta was listed on on the alternative market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), AeRO in May.
Its shares traded flat at 10.68 lei ($2.5/2.2 euro) on the Bucharest bourse as at 1020 CET on Wedessday.
