BUCHAREST (Romania), March 14 (SeeNews) – Romanian construction materials distributor Arabesque said on Monday it is opening a new store in the central city of Pitesti on March 24, following a 10 million euro ($11 million) investment.
This is the company's 19th store in Romania, the company said in a press release. It has an area of 9,000 sq m and will employ 100 people.
Founded in 1994 by the Rapotan family, Arabesque has since expanded its business in Ukraine, Bulgaria and Moldova. The company has a network of 34 shopping centres and warehouses.
The Rapotan family ranks 28th among the richest people in Romania, with a fortune estimated at 140-150 million euro, according to Top 300 The Wealthiest Men in Romania 2015 published by Romania's Capital magazine.
