November 2 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Romania's central bank, excluding gold, totalled 28.402 billion euro ($42 billion) at the end of October, up by a net 63 million euro from a month earlier, the central bank said on Monday.
Foreign exchange inflows in October totalled 1.278 billion euro, including commercial banks' reserves and mandatory provisions, the central bank said in a statement.
Outflows to foreign debt servicing and other payments totalled 1.215 billion euro last month.
In October the central bank's gold reserves remained unchanged from a month earlier, at 103.7 tonnes. The reserves are worth 2.345 billion euro at current international gold prices.
Romania is due to pay 113 million euro on its foreign debt in November.
