November 8 (SeeNews) - Romania's development, public works and administration minister Cseke Attila has signed ten new contracts for the modernisation of road infrastructure and the expansion of water supply and sewage networks, worth a total 125.8 million lei ($25.7 million/25.7 million euro).
The contracts will be financed through the Anghel Saligny infrastructure development program, the ministry said in a press release on Monday.
The investments will cover road, water and sewage works in nine Romanian counties. The contract with the highest value, of 25 million lei, comprises the modernisation and consolidation of a county road in the central county of Alba.
The contracts add to the other 49 signed under the Anghel Saligny program, which so far total over 532 million lei.
The Anghel Saligny infrastructure development program is run by Romania's government and worth more than 10 billion euro ($9.98 billion). Through the program, local authorities can modernise communication routes, develop water and sewer networks and expand natural gas networks.
