ZIARUL FINANCIAR
- Romanian state-owned Eximbank intends to borrow 10 million euro from the European Investment Bank to finance projects of small- and medium- sized companies, Eximbank president Ionut Costea said.
- The Romanian unit of Hungary's banking group OTP plans to expand its branch network to 200 from 106 now in the next few years through the acquisition of a small local bank or through organic growth, OTP Bank Romania director general Laszlo Diosi said.
- Romanian majority state-owned drug maker Antibiotice could temporarily halt production in December in case its average monthly sales in the autumn are below those recorded in the first half of the year, head of Antibiotice Ioan Nani said. So far this year the company's monthly average sales stand at 4.3 million euro.

- Romania will start vaccination against the A/H1N1 flu virus in early December, the country's Health Ministry said.

- Romania's leasing market could fall by 60% to 65% this year in terms of value of financed assets, after showing a 74% annual decrease in the first half of 2009, head of the local Association of Financial Companies, Claude Boloux, said.

- Romania will launch its first space rocket, called Helen, in October, the country's Aeronautics and Cosmonautics Association said.
- The number of unemployed in Romania will definitely not reach 800,000 at the end of this year, as forecast by the International Monetary Fund, the head of government's employment agency Silviu Bian said.
