May 31 (SeeNews) - UK-based commercial and residential property developer Poseidon Group and Belgium's Mitiska REIM have opened a 10 million euro ($11.1 million) retail park under the Capitol Park brand in Zajecar, eastern Serbia, Poseidon Group said.
Zajecar's Capitol Park has a retail space of 6,500 square metres and is situated in the city centre, on Cupiceva street, next to a densely populated residential zone, Poseidon Group said in a statement on Thursday.
"We decided to invest in Zajecar because of its central location in the Borsko-Zajecarski district and the improving economic outlook for the city. This retail complex will generate new shopping and leisure facilities in the city and also boost the economy of Zajecar by bringing more than 200 new job roles into the city," James Gunn, Poseidon Group corporate affairs director, said.
Seventeen Serbian and international brands, including JYSK, Studio Moderna, Extreme Intimo, Opposite shoes, Djak sport, Lilly, LC Waikiki, New Yorker, Deichmann, N Sport, MSG Electronic, Gigatron, DM, Intersport and Exclusive exchange office have opened stores in the new retail park.
Poseidon Group’s retail park brand in Serbia was established with Capitol Park Sabac in 2014. The company plans to operate a total of 10 Capitol Park schemes by the end of 2020, it said in December.
