BUCHAREST (Romania), May 29 (SeeNews) – UK-based cash, mobile and online payments operator PayPoint said on Thursday its bill payment transactions in Romania rose 53.5% to 39.1 million British pounds ($47.4 million/34.8 million euro) in the fiscal year ended March 31.
"In Romania, bill payment transactions have grown 53.5% as we added new clients including RCS&RDS, branded as DIGI, a pay TV and communications supplier and one of Romania’s biggest bill issuers, and grew strongly in existing clients," the company said in a statement.
The Romanian network rose to 8,354 terminals in local shops across the country where clients can make cash bill payments, money transfers, road tax payments and mobile phone top-ups, up from 7,339 terminals at end-March 2013.
