February 4 (SeeNews) - German lighting solutions company Osram said on Thursday that it is selling its plant for production of digital lighting components in the Bulgarian city of Plovdiv to US-based electronics manufacturer Sanmina Corp.
San Jose, California-based Sanmina is taking over the plant along with its 800 employees, Osram said in a statement.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Osram opened the plant following a 50 million levs ($30.7 million/25.6 million euro) investment in 2017, it said at the time. Production in the plant mainly focuses on LED drivers, but also on lighting management systems and traditional control gear.
