September 28 (SeeNews) - Total revenue from online sales in Bulgaria is expected to grow by 14% year-on-year to 342 million euro ($384 million) in 2016, according to electronic commerce platform operator Ecommerce Europe.
In 2015, the number of online shoppers in Bulgaria grew by 10% year-on-year to 1.1 million, as the average spending per e-shopper rose by 5.7% to 262 euro, according to infographics posted on the Ecommerce Europe website.
Flight tickets and accommodation services had the largest share in popular service groups, generating one-third of all online sales in Bulgaria last year. Online purchases of clothing and information technology followed by 49 million euro and 23 million euro, respectively.
Online sales of package travel products were the fastest growing group in 2015, adding 31.6% to 19 million euro.
