January 20 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover among the blue chips on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices closed up, bourse data showed.
A total of 12,958 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 8.8 million dinars. NIS closed flat at 680 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session up 0.06% at 833.56 points. The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, also closed up 0.06% at 1,755.53.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 13.8 million dinars ($127,400/117,600 euro) on Friday, up from 7.2 million dinars on Thursday, as 93 transactions were carried out.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 721,300 dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Friday.
In the period between January 16 and 20, BELEX15 went down 1.11%, while BELEXline declined 1.30%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 62.4 million dinars, versus 868.2 million dinars in the previous trading week.
Treasury bonds trading turnover totalled 16.0 million dinars this week, down from 850.5 million dinars last week.
