June 13 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Wednesday, as share indices ended up, bourse data showed.
A total of 2,662 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 1.9 million dinars. NIS won 0.58% and closed at 698 dinars.
Lender Komercijalna banka [BEL:KMBN] led the blue-chip gainers' list on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, after winning 2.54% and closing at 1,900 dinars. A total of 304 of the lender's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 577,600 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade bourse, went up 0.44% to 733.30 points on Wednesday. The index declined 0.33% on Tuesday.
The broader BELEXline, a free‐float market capitalisation weighted index, rose 0.24% to 1,550.94 points on Wednesday, after decreasing 0.36% on Tuesday.
Belgrade airport operator Aerodrom Nikola Tesla [BEL:AERO] paced the blue-chip decliners on Wednesday after losing 1.08% and closing at 1,650 dinars. A total of 106 of the company's shares changed hands, generating a turnover of 173,625 dinars.
The total stock trading turnover on the bourse rose to 3.7 million dinars ($170,527/144,721 euro) on Wednesday from 3.6 million dinars on Tuesday, as 169 share transactions were carried out. Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the bourse came in at 446,800 dinars.
