August 27 (SeeNews) - Oil and gas company NIS [BEL:NIIS] generated the highest turnover on the Belgrade Stock Exchange on Friday, as stock indices ended down, bourse data showed.
A total of 349 NIS shares changed hands in a turnover of 214,984 dinars. NIS' share price went down 1.12% to 616 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, ended the session down 0.47% at 796.15 points.
None of the blue-chip index members closed up on Friday.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed down 0.32% at 1,692.88.
The total turnover on the bourse amounted to 2.9 million dinars ($29,000/24,700 euro) on Friday, up from 1.0 million dinars on Thursday, as 49 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 10,800 dinars.
In the period between August 23 and 27, BELEX15 went down 0.77%, while BELEXline fell 1.13%.
The total value of trading on the Belgrade stock market this week was 29.9 million dinars, versus 590.4 million dinars last week.
Treasury bonds trading turnover totalled 514,824 dinars this week, versus 154.0 million dinars last week.
