SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 30 (SeeNews) – New car sales in Macedonia are expected to fall by some 36% to 11,356 vehicles this year according to the car importers union with local Chamber of Commerce, state-run Macedonian Information Agency (MIA) reported.
New car sales decreased by an annual 34.6% in the January-November period. November sales fell by 36.8 % on the year, MIA (www.mia.com.mk) reported on Tuesday.
The car importers union also said that this year's car sales will be lower in comparison with the sales in 2007 and 2007, too, with tightened bank lending to the population being the main reason for the drop, MIA reported.
Macedonia, a country of two million people, does not manufacture automobiles.
