February 6 (SeeNews) - Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia rose to 3,346 in January from 2,971 in the same month of 2022, market research agency Promocija Plus said on Monday.
Volkswagen was the top-selling brand in the country of some 3.89 million people with 391 cars sold in January, Promocija Plus said in a statement. Its sales rose on an annual comparison basis, from 347 cars sold in January 2022.
Ford followed with 318 cars, up from 125 in January 2022, and Skoda ranked third with 281 cars, down from 365 last year.
The best-selling models in January were Ford Escort with 146 cars sold, followed by Opel Corsa with 118 ones, and Dacia Duster with 104 cars sold.
Sales of new passenger cars in Croatia fell 2.7% last year to 44,088, following an annual increase of 25.5% in 2021, according to earlier figures by the same agency.
