May 16 (SeeNews) - North Macedonian lender UNI Banka said on Thursday that its non-consolidated net profit fell to 47.1 million denars ($857,000/764,000 euro) in the first quarter of 2019 from 62.7 million denars in the same period of last year.
UNI Banka's net interest income rose to 184.7 million denars in the January-March period of this year compared to 171.3 million denars in the comparable period of 2018, the lender said in an interim financial statement.
Net fee and commission income fell to 35.8 million denars in the review period from 39.9 million denars a year earlier.
Personnel expenses grew to 87.4 million denars in the first three months of 2019 from 62.7 million denars in the like period of 2018, while financial asset impairments rose to 33.7 million denars from 22.3 million denars.
Earlier this year, UNI Banka placed a 5 million euro perpetual bond and said it will include the proceeds in its Tier 1 capital.
