November 15 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based meat processing company Pekabesko [MSE:PKB] said that its consolidated net profit edged up by an annual 4% to 107.4 million denars ($1.9 million/1.7 million euro) in the first nine months of 2019.
Pekabesko's operating revenue increased 6% year-on-year to 3.72 billion denars in the January-September period of this year, the company said in an interim financial statement earlier this week.
Domestic sales added 5% to 3.21 billion denars, while sales abroad were 12% higher at 471.6 million denars.
The company's operating expenses rose 7% on the year to 3.62 billion denars in the review period.
Cost of goods sold increased 4% to 2.52 billion denars, while expenses for materials grew 12% to 703.7 million denars.
Pekabesko was established in 1979 and privatised in 1991. The company is also active in the distribution of food and cigarettes.
