May 11 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's oil refinery Okta [MSE:OKTA] said it turned a net profit of 144.3 million denars ($2.8million/2.3 million euro) in the first quarter of 2021, compared to a net loss of 292.7 million denars in the same period of last year.
Revenues from domestic sales fell 17.2% year-on-year to 3.3 billion denars, while sales abroad rose 6% to 1 million denars, the company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse last week.
The cost of goods sold dropped to 4 billion denars in the three months through March from 5.1 billion denars in the first quarter of 2020.
Okta's impairment and other operating costs decreased to 6.3 million in the review period, compared with 37.2 million denars recorded in the first three months of 2020.
Okta, a member of the Hellenic Petroleum Group, owns crude oil refining facilities with nameplate capacity of 2.5 million metric tonnes and storage facilities with a total capacity of 350 million liters.
