May 3 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's Makedonski Telekom [MSE:TEL] said that its net profit grew 33% on the year in the first quarter of 2023, reaching 478.1 million denars ($8.5 million/7.8 million euro).
Makedonski Telekom's operating revenue edged up 4% on the year to 2.9 billion denars, while operating costs were 1% lower at 2.4 billion denars in the quarter under review, the telecommunications company said in an interim financial statement filed with the Skopje bourse on Tuesday.
Domestic sales increased by an annual 3% to 2.8 billion denars, while sales abroad added 11% to 109.9 million denars in the January-March period.
Makedonski Telekom's shares traded at an average price of 399.80 denars on Tuesday on the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE), according to the latest available bourse data.
