February 4 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia-based lender Komercijalna Banka [MSE:KMB] said that its consolidated net profit edged up to 1.83 billion denars ($32.8 million/29.7 million euro) in 2019 from 1.81 billion denars the year before, supported by lower impairments.
Net financial asset impairments fell to 588.5 million denars last year from 793.9 million denars in 2018, while net non-financial asset impairments shrank to 4.5 million denars from 413 million denars, the lender said in an annual financial statement.
The bank's net interest income decreased to 2.40 billion denars in 2019 from 2.47 billion denars the year before, while net fee and commission income rose to 999 million denars from 922.8 million denars.
Net foreign exchange gains fell by 21.8 million denars to 118.1 million denars in 2019, while other operating income plunged to 802.8 million denars last year from 1.42 billion denars in 2018.
Komercijalna Banka's loans and advances to customers other than banks grew to 50.8 billion denars at the end of 2019 from 46.4 billion denars a year earlier, while deposits from such customers increased to 107.1 billion denars from 99 billion denars at the end of 2018.
The bank's total assets rose to 123 billion denars at the end of last year from 114.4 billion denars a year earlier.
