February 22 (SeeNews) - The loan portfolio of North Macedonia's commercial banks rose 8.5% year-on-year to 419.9 billion denars ($7.3 billion/6.8 billion euro) at the end of January, the central bank said.
Month-on-month, the banks' loan portfolio was 9.4% higher at the end of January, the central bank said in a statement on Tuesday.
Loans to the corporate sector grew 9.7% on the year, reaching 202.7 billion denars at the end of January, while loans to households totalled 215.1 billion denars, up 7.4%.
