January 23 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's consumer price index (CPI) grew by 2.6% in 2018, after rising by 2.4% in 2017, the national statistical office said.
In December alone, Montenegro's consumer prices rose by 1.6% year-on-year, after growing by 2.0% in November, the statistical office said in a monthly inflation report.
Consumer prices fell by 0.6% on the month in December after rising by 0.2% in November, the statistical office said.
The biggest monthly rise in prices in December, of 1.4%, was recorded in the segment of hotels and restaurants, followed by healthcare, of 0.2%.
On the other hand, the prices of clothing and footwear declined by 3.4% month-on-month in December, while the cost of transport fell by 3.1%.
