May 8 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's government plans to complete the takeover of port operator Luka Bar by the end of May, prime minister Dritan Abazovic said.
“I hope that by the end of May, possibly June, we will manage to have a situation where the entire Port of Bar is owned by Montenegro,” Abazovic said last week at a presentation of the government’s performance during the previous year.
According to bourse data, the state owns 78.546% of Luka Bar. The other shareholders in Luka Bar are CK - Zbirni kastodi racun 1 with 1.125%, Nikola Gazivoda - 0.486%, and other minor shareholders.
In February, the Montenegrin state acquired a further 0.96% of port operator Luka Bar for a total 485,900 euro ($506,530) .
