March 19 (SeeNews) - Montenegro has reported six more coronavirus cases in the country, bringing the total number of infected people to eight.
Five of the newly diagnosed people were in contact with already infected patients, Montenegro's public health institute said in a statement on Wednesday.
"This indicates that the epidemic is starting to spread," the director of the institute, Boban Mugosa. "We must respect the rules, we must keep social distance, we must respect self-isolation, we must stay at home and reduce our contacts."
Montenegro confirmed the first two cases of the novel coronavirus disease on its territory on March 17. The country has closed its borders for foreign nationals to prevent the spread of the disease on its territory.
