April 9 (SeeNews) - Montenegrin utility Vodovod i kanalizacija has invited bids for a contract for the supervision of the construction of a sewerage network and a wastewater treatment plant, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which is providing the financing for the project, said.
The estimated cost of the assignment is 350,000 euro ($395,000) and interested firms of groups of firms are invited to submit a technical and financial proposal, the bank said in a statement on Monday.
The consultant shall undertake an official review of the designs and verify the compliance with the environmental and social requirements of the bank, execute the additional construction supervision and assist Vodovod i kanalizacija through preparation of quarterly progress reports, occasional incident reports, if any, and annual environmental, health and safety reports.
The аssignment is expected to have a total duration of approximately three years and to begin in 2019, as soon as possible.
In January 2017, the EBRD extended a loan to the Montenegrin municipality of Danilovgrad to finance the construction of a wastewater collection system and treatment plant.
The project, which has a total estimated cost of 6 million euro, envisages rehabilitation and extension of the water supply network, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), construction of a wastewater plant, reconstruction of existing and construction of new sewers.
