October 19 (SeeNews) - Fast food chain McDonald's opened a new restaurant in Ramnicu Valcea, in central Romania, following a 9 million lei ($2.1 million/1.8 million euro) investment, its licence holder in Romania and five other EU markets, Premier Capital, said.
The new restaurant is the company's third in Ramnicu Valcea and will employ 70, Premier Capital said in a press release on Monday.
It features McCafé, McDrive and McDelivery services, self-ordering kiosks, digital menu boards and electric vehicle charging stations. Also, it has an indoor capacity of 95 customers, while the terrace can accommodate 72 clients.
The new unit takes the total number of McDonald's restaurants in the country to 89 in 27 cities.
McDonald's entered the Romanian market in 1994 and currently employs 5,000 in the country.
In 2016, McDonalds sold its restaurants and coffee-shops in Romania to Premier Capital.
