September 19 (SeeNews) - The premium income of Macedonian insurer Euroins Osiguruvanje decreased by 3.8% year-on-year to 5.9 million euro ($6.5 million) for the first eight months of 2016, parent company Eurohold Bulgaria [BUL:4EH] has said.
In August alone, the premium income of the Macedonian insurer increased by 2.2% year-on-year, reaching 794,000 euro, financial and insurance group Eurohold Bulgaria said in a filing with the Sofia bourse late on Friday.
The premium income of Skopje-based Euroins Osiguruvanje from third-party liability insurance edged down 0.7% on the year to 3.89 million euro for the first eight months of 2016. The premium income from general motor insurance increased 3.6% to 488,000 euro in the period under review, while the premium income from property insurance ticked down 0.5% to 556,000 euro.
Euroins Osiguruvanje is a unit of Euroins Insurance Group (EIG), part of Eurohold Bulgaria.
