December 2 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) dropped this week as the official market turnover almost halved, bourse data indicated on Friday.
The stock exchange remained closed on November 30 due to a national tree-planting holiday.
The MSE's benchmark MBI-10 index closed at 2,197.59 points on Friday, 1.2% lower than a week earlier, after falling 1.6% in the week to November 25.
Official market turnover plunged to 23.3 million denars ($405,000/379,800 euro) from 48 million denars last week.
Blue-chip lender Stopanska Banka Skopje [MSE:STB] generated the largest turnover of 6.07 million denars, as a total of 6,267 shares changed hands this week.
The MSE bond index, the OMB, closed at 127.48, unchanged from last Friday.
