November 20 (SeeNews) - The Macedonian stock indices fell further this week in higher turnover, bourse data showed on Friday.
The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue-chip companies on the Macedonian Stock Exchange JSC (MSE), closed at 3,219.98 points on Friday, down 6.2% from last Thursday. The broader MBID index, which comprises the 11 most liquid stocks, fell 4.3% from last Thursday to 3,323.34.
The MSE was closed last Friday for Tree Planting Day.
The MSE's total turnover rose to 65.8 million denars ($1.59 million/1.07 million euro) this week from 37.3 million denars in the four trading sessions last week. Turnover on the bourse's official floor rose to 49.3 million denars from 31.5 million denars last week. Turnover on the unofficial floor increased to 16.5 million denars from 5.8 million denars a week earlier.
Drug maker Alkaloid AD Skopje was most traded this week, recording a turnover of 10.7 million denars.
