April 13 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's central bank said it sold 29.9 billion denars ($516.9 million/486.3 million euro) worth of 28-day central bank bills, below its target of 30 billion denars.
The coupon rate on the central bank bills, which serves as Macedonia's benchmark interest rate, was set at 3.25%, flat from the previous similar auction held on March 15, a statement of the central bank showed on Wednesday.
According to a separate statement of the bank, it decided to keep the coupon rate unchanged due to the risks created by the prolonged political crisis in the country.
