UTRINSKI VESNIK
- Germany remains a strong supporter of Macedonia’s EU aspirations, German President Horst Koehler said on Monday after meeting with his Macedonian counterpart Gjorge Ivanov. According to Ivanov, Koehler voiced optimism that Macedonia will get this autumn a date for the start of its EU accession negotiations.
- Pressing on with reforms, making the state administration more flexible and efficient, liberalising the banking system with the entry of more foreign lenders and enhancing cooperation among local authorities on construction projects are some of the suggestions that Macedonian businessmen presented to the government during the unveiling of the World Bank’s Doing Business 2010 Report on Monday.

- Macedonian opposition left-wing party SDSM said it will floor a non-confidence vote in Parliament against the ministers of interior and of transport, Gordana Jankulovska and Mile Janakieski, over a deadly boat accident in lake Ohrid earlier this month that took the lives of 15 Bulgarian nationals.
