- Five suspected cases of the A/H1N1 flu were admitted to the Infectious Disease Clinic in Skopje in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of hospitalized people infected with the virus to 50, the Health Ministry said.

- Macedonian tourism was strongly hit by the global economic crisis this year, particularly in the region of the Ohrid Lake, Tourism Chamber officials said. The condition in the sector is expected to stabilize next year thanks to a government incentive to subsidize tour operators that bring more foreign guests.
