March 25 (SeeNews) - The blue-chip index of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) rose on Wednesday, supported by gains in the share price of most of its constituent companies, bourse data showed.
The SBITOP index, which tracks the most liquid and capitalised stocks on the LJSE, added 2.68% to 725.21 points on Wednesday, after gaining 3.03% on Tuesday.
Eight of SBITOP's 11 components closed higher, while the remaining three ended the session unchanged.
Insurance company Zavarovalnica Triglav [LJE:ZVTG] paced the blue-chip gainers, jumping 5.26% to 26 euro ($28).
Trading in the shares of drug maker Krka [LJE:KRKG] contributed the largest turnover among the blue chips on Wednesday - of 644,640 euro.
The bourse did not provide a figure for its total daily turnover.
