SOFIA (Bulgaria), November 30 (SeeNews) – Discount store Lidl Bulgaria said on Monday it opened a new supermarket in Galleria shopping centre in Burgas, the country's fourth largest city.
This is the retailer's fifth store in Burgas, on the Black Sea, and the first one in a shopping mall in the country, the company said in a press release.
Earlier this year Lidl broke ground for logistics centre in Yambol, in southeastern Bulgaria, which is expected to open in 2016 and to create more than 200 jobs.
Lidl Bulgaria operates 79 stores in 41 cities in the country, adding between 15 and 25 new jobs with each new supermarket. The company employs more than 1,800.
Lidl is part of Germany's Schwarz Group which also operates the Kaufland retail chain in Bulgaria.
