June 8 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian telecommunications company Bulsatcom said on Thursday the launch date of its geostationary communications satellite BulgariaSat-1 - the country's first – has been delayed to June 17, due to unfavourable meteorological conditions.
Last month, Bulsatcom announced the satellite will be launched on June 15.
“In case of change in the meteorological conditions, the launch window will remain open for the next few days,” Bulsatcom said in a statement.
BulgariaSat-1 will be taken into space from Cape Canaveral with the Falcon 9 rocket launcher provided by SpaceX. The satellite will be the second in the world ever to fly with Falcon 9.
